The Challenge

The Ignite TX team needed a modern website to support their mission of expanding access to genetic testing for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) and Lynch syndrome (LS). The website had to educate a wide range of users, streamline study enrollment, and provide resources for both patients and providers — all while adhering to strict compliance standards.

Designing for Accessibility and Simplicity

We designed and developed a fully responsive website optimized for accessibility and ease of use. A clear visual hierarchy and inclusive language ensured the content resonated with both medical professionals and the general public. The user experience was crafted around key objectives: inform, qualify, and guide users into action — whether that meant joining the study or referring a patient. We also incorporated intuitive navigation, streamlined content presentation, and interactive FAQs to maximize clarity and engagement.

Secure Infrastructure + Flexible Content Management

Built on a scalable infrastructure, the Ignite TX site is fully secure for handling sensitive study information and future data collection needs. We implemented a custom content management system (CMS) that allows the study team to easily update content, post announcements, and manage FAQs without developer intervention — a crucial feature for a long-term clinical trial project. The system is ready to evolve alongside the study as enrollment phases shift or additional regions are added.

Our Process

Stage 1: Discovery & Compliance Strategy - We collaborated with the study's PI and communications team to understand key study goals, audience personas, and compliance requirements. Deliverables included: Technical Compliance Framework, Content Strategy & Wireframes, and Accessibility and Mobile Usability Report.

Stage 2: Design, Build & Test - We brought the website to life with a strong visual identity, smooth front-end interactions, and a mobile-first layout. Features included: Eligibility screener with guided steps, Interactive provider referral flow, Modular FAQ and Resources sections, and Event tracking setup for ongoing engagement analysis.

Stage 3: Deployment & Training - The site was deployed to a secure environment with full SSL, hosting security protocols, and CMS training for internal teams. Ongoing support ensures content updates and user feedback can be addressed in real-time.
